Volunteers make our Greenways great!

Thank you!

Cleanup crew at work

Despite the cold, wet weather, lots of you turned out for the 19th Annual White River Cleanup — about 125 of you downtown and 40 at Rocky Ripple. We appreciate all the families, scouts, church groups, students and individuals who pitched in and picked up under tough conditions.

Get involved!

Volunteer events: Each year, we host public volunteer events and you are invited to join in. Details will always be listed on this page.

Volunteer Wish List: We have a variety of ongoing projects for community groups, schools, families and individuals, too. These outdoor jobs are fun with flexible hours! Take your pick from our Volunteer Wish List

Create A Project for your community group by contacting Indy Parks Greenways. While your group brings people power, IPG provides support, such as tools, trash bags, gloves, and trucks and dumpsters if necessary. Call 317-327-7431 or send email to indygreenways@indygov.org.

Our objectives with volunteer events are cleaner and more beautiful natural areas, creating awareness about the value of green spaces, and getting our young citizens involved in improving our environment.

Donations may be made to the Greenways Foundation, Inc., a charitable trust working to promote the growth, enhancement and use of Central Indiana greenways. Donations are tax deductible and will only be used in support of Indy Greenways.
