Each spring, the Trails Celebration brings together people who believe in the power of trails to transform communities. This annual charitable luncheon blends networking, philanthropy, recognition, and a shared commitment to Indiana’s growing trail system.
The Trails Celebration exists to honor the passion and dedication of individuals, grassroots groups, businesses, and organizations that are helping turn Indiana’s trails into world class assets. These trail champions strengthen local economies, improve human health, and protect the natural places that make our communities special. Their work reflects the idea that trails are not just infrastructure, but essential public spaces that connect people to each other and to the outdoors.
At the heart of the event is the Indiana Greenways Awards Ceremony, where we recognize outstanding leadership and innovation in trail development, advocacy, and stewardship. These awards shine a light on the people and projects that are moving trails forward across the state and inspiring others to do the same. Nominations for the 2026 awards are now open through March 15.
