Welcoming Our New Intern: Christie Luma Joins the Greenways Foundation Team

“I am particularly passionate about environmental justice and ensuring that all communities have fair access to green spaces, including trails and waterways,” says new intern, Christie Luma.

Greenways Foundation is excited to welcome Christie Luma to our team as our newest intern this summer!

Christie is a rising senior at Indiana University Bloomington, where she is majoring in Policy Analysis. She brings a deep passion for environmental justice and a strong belief that every community—regardless of background or zip code—deserves fair and equitable access to green spaces like trails, parks, and waterways.

Her academic focus, combined with her personal commitment to advocacy and sustainability, makes her a natural fit for our mission to support the development, enhancement, and stewardship of trails across Indiana. Christie is especially interested in exploring how policy and community planning can work together to close gaps in access and help create thriving, healthy communities for everyone.
