Meet Our Summer Interns: Elizabeth and Braxtyn!

Braxtyn Cooper (left) and Elizabeth McClelland (right) join the Greenways Foundation team for the 2025 summer and will help support Indiana’s many trails.

We’re excited to welcome two outstanding summer interns to the Greenways Foundation team! As we continue working to expand trail access, empower local communities, and build a more connected Indiana, we’re thrilled to have Elizabeth McClelland and Braxtyn join us in advancing our mission.

Elizabeth McClelland is a recent graduate from Indiana University, where she majored in Environmental Management. She brings a strong passion for community development and is especially interested in how walkable spaces can be created and maintained—regardless of a town’s size or resources. As a lifelong Hoosier, Elizabeth is excited to help ensure that communities across Indiana have the tools they need to thrive through accessible, sustainable infrastructure.

Braxtyn Cooper is a senior at Purdue University, studying both political science and environmental science with a concentration in climate and energy solutions. She is enthusiastic about creating positive change in Indiana’s green spaces and looks forward to supporting our statewide advocacy efforts.

This summer, Elizabeth and Braxtyn will be helping to grow our grassroots advocacy and grantmaking programs. From supporting local trail groups to amplifying community voices, they’ll be right in the middle of the action—and we can’t wait for you to meet them.

Want to say hello? Keep an eye on our social media channels to find out which events we’ll be attending this summer. Whether we’re hosting a workshop or tabling at a festival, you’ll have the chance to meet our interns and learn more about how we’re working together to make Indiana TrailReady.

Welcome, Elizabeth and Braxtyn—we’re lucky to have you on board!
